Impact of Pension Protection Act 2010

Effective January 1, 2010 a new provision of the PPA goes into effect. Simply put, for the first time in history Life and Annuity products can be 1035 exchanged to a life insurance or annuity contract provided the new product has a LTCI component.

What does this one law change mean to producers/agents?

  • A discussion of LTCI will no longer be an option but a required portion of any agent’s practice [to protect or grow their business].
  • To discuss combo products for new sales or to protect existing blocks of business ALL agents will need to be LTCI partnership certified (meaning they will have had to have completed required 8 hour course).

Insurance Advisors holds training sessions to explain the Pros and Cons of Combo Products. We explain the appropriate target market and usage for this product, the anticipated abuses or inappropriate uses of this product, the right questions to ask your clients and we can point you in the right direction if you need the required CEs.

Each sale is different, that is why Insurance Advisors offers numerous Life, Annuity, LTCI and Combo products to our brokers.

If interested in such training programs, or new products available, please contact info@ialtc.com or call us at 800-471-9171.

We think our website accomplishes our goal. Our developer is: http://completewebsitesolution.com/
